Each year it seems we get more and more clients asking about the equipment we use. We find it a little surprising that anyone would be interested in that sort of thing but being that we are photography nerds, we're more than willing to open our bags and talk about our tools. So here's a peak at we we use:

I suppose I should start with the leather camera strap because I always seem to get questions about it whenever we're shooting. It's made by Holdfast and in addition to looking really cool, it actually serves the very practical purpose of allowing me to carry around two cameras at all times!

Speaking of cameras, we shoot Nikon. We used Canon for ages and still think they make great products but we've found that Nikon camera bodies better suit our needs.

My camera of choice is the Nikon D750. I have two of them because they are simply the best and most versatile cameras I've ever used. I also like to shoot a roll or two of film when I can so that is why the Nikon F100 is in the picture too.

Next up are my lenses. I own a bunch of but these four are the ones I consistently use. Going from left to right there is a 35mm, 50mm, 85mm and a 24-120mm zoom lens. Lately the 35 and 85 see the most action but each lens has it's own unique attributes and I really do adore them all.

And last we have the lighting stuff. We prefer shooting natural light but that's not always practical so we use rely on flash quite a bit. I really can't say enough about these Yongnuo's. I have 3 of them in total and they've all been beaten up and abused but they've never failed me. And best of all, they're really cheap! You can buy 4 or 5 of these for the price of one Canon or Nikon flash and they get the job done just the same.
